Online Private Tutoring

How can a private tutor help with GMAT Prep?

Diagnosis

A private tutor's first objective it to try and figure out what EXACTLY is preventing you from achieving your target score

Action Plan

Based on the diagnosis, the tutor can help provide a structured plan (exercises, sessions, etc.) to help fix the gaps and put you on the right path to GMAT success

Expert Guidance

A (good) private tutor will be there with you throughout the journey, guiding you and providing honest feedback

My approach to Private Tutoring

As a private tutor, my task is to uncover the real issues that are hurting your chances with regard to the GMAT.

Issues come in various forms:

  • Conceptual gaps: For instance, not having a correct understanding of what a CR “Evaluate” question actually is.
  • Process gaps: For example, following a “hack” for RC – skimming through most of the passage, while focusing extra hard on the first and last line of each paragraph.
  • Skill gaps: For example, not able to connect one sentence to the next and understand the story being communicated.

These are all real case studies of students I have dealt with :).

Conceptual gaps are often easy to spot. Such gaps are easy to fix too.

But process and skill gaps are deeper – this is where a good private tutor can really provide a lot of value.

I will look at any data you can give me (ESRs, Mocks, error logs, etc.). Before we begin our engagement, we will have a consultation call (not charged!) to understand the pain points as per your judgement. Then, through session(s) and/or exercises, we will arrive at a diagnosis – a clear picture of what needs improvement.

With that knowledge, we will chart an action plan to address the issues (i.e., to fix the gaps) – exercises, sessions, etc.

Now, here is something you should know – fixing habits and processes and building skills is hard work. I will be the first to admit that. If it was easy, so many more would get their dream scores than what we see in reality. Creating groundbreaking improvements will require a TON of hard work from you, and lots of mental discipline. So be prepared to work hard. 🙂

I will keep checking in with you and continuously tracking your progress, providing you honest feedback on how things are, based on my judgement of what I see. Based on your progress, we will also do course-corrections to our plan – whatever it takes to try and fix the gaps!

As a tutor, what I hope to give you is an accurate diagnosis, a structured and actionable plan to create improvements, and passionate expert guidance throughout your GMAT journey. What I expect from you is hard work, time investment, discipline, and a desire to learn :).

Rates

Given that every student’s needs are unique, I do not believe in taking your money upfront for a set number of sessions. I only want you to pay for what you definitely utilized. :).

If one session is all you need, that is great. If you need four sessions or more with me, that is cool too. Whatever works for you!

Per Hour Rate -> Rs. 3500

Note 1: Tutoring sessions are 2 hours long. So, a typical session costs Rs. 7000.

Note 2: Rates are subject to changes based on factors such as market conditions. That said, once you start working with me, I will not suddenly raise the price for the sessions.
